PROGRAM

Full Day :

  • Meet your guide at the hotel lobby or at Whisper Journeys office and depart by private or join group vehicle to the elephant camp

  • Experience elephant riding through the spectacular landscape

  • Get on a long tail boat to cross the river to Pak Ou caves and explore the mysterious caves which have over 3000 Buddha statues

  • Enjoy lunch at Elephant camp

  • Experience elephant riding through the spectacular landscape

  • Visit Ban Xang Hai (Whisky village) and observe their traditional weaving technique and how they make Lao Whisky (Lao Lao). All sorts of snakes, insects and bugs are fermented and mixed with the whiskey

  • Relax and swim in the refreshing water

  • Return to Luang Prabang by private or join group vehicle



FULL ITINERARY

A day trip start in the morning drive up north to our elephant camp about an hour. There you will enjoy your elephant ride through the beautiful forests. After that your guide will take you by a long trail boat to Pak Ou Caves. One of the most respected and holiest sites of Luang Prabang, which has been a place of worship for more than a thousand years. The cave has more than 3000 Buddha statues inside. Then enjoy your lunch at the elephant camp before visit Ban Xang Hai (Whiskey village). Continue a trip by minivan to Kuang Si waterfall. The secret natural pools of Kuang Si Waterfallis one of the most popular attractions to visit in Luang Prabang. Upon leaving, weˇŻll pass through the Bear Rescue Centre.


Note: Pak Ou caves & Kuang Si Waterfall can get crowded on the weekends and national holidays. Do not forget to bring your mosquito spray, sunscreen, swimming suit and to wear proper shoes.
