PROGRAM

Full Day :

  • In the morning meet your guide in the hotel lobby or at Whisper Journeys office and depart by private or join group vehicle to the Kayaking starting point

  • Kayak for about 2 hours down the Nam Ou River

  • Enjoy the magnificent scenery along the Ou and Mekong Rivers and explore the mysterious Pak Ou caves which have over 3000 Buddha statues

  • Enjoy your lunch at the riverbank

  • Transfer back to Luang Prabang and then go to Kuang Si waterfall, by private or join group vehicle

  • Relax at the bottom of the falls for a refreshing swim or hike to the top of the main waterfall

  • Explore the Bear Rescue Center and transfer back to Luang Prabang byprivate or join group vehicle



FULL ITINERARY

Start your morning with 2 hours of kayaking down the Nam Ou River to visit Pak Ou Caves. One of the most respected and holiest sites of Luang Prabang which has been a place of worship for more than a thousand years. We'll go back to town by private or join group vehicle to the secret pool. Kuang Si Waterfallis one of the most popular attractions to visit in Luang Prabang. You won't be able to escape the serenity of the falls. After spending some time in the lower falls, we will hike to the top of the falls after passing through the Bear Rescue Centre.


Note: Between November and January the water temperature is very cool. Picnic lunch, swimming and hiking to the top of the waterfall is possible. Do not forget to bring your mosquito spray, sunscreen, swimming suit and to wear proper shoes. Kuang Si Waterfall & Pak Ou caves can get crowded on weekends and national holidays.
