Morning Cruise :

  • Meet your guide at the hotel lobby or at Whisper Journeys office and depart by private or join group vehicle to the boat pier

  • Visit Rice-Wine distillery Muang Keo village and observe their traditional weaving technique and how they make Lao Whisky (Lao Lao). All sorts of snakes, insects and bugs are fermented and mixed with the whiskey

  • Explore the mysterious Pak Ou Caves which have over 3000 Buddha statues

  • Enjoy lunch at on board

  • Return to Luang Prabang by private or join group vehicle



FULL ITINERARY

Discover the mighty Mekong cruise up the Mekong River with a unique wonderful overview of Luang Prabang to Pak Ou Caves. One of the most respected and holiest sites of Luang Prabang, which has been a place of worship for more than a thousand years. The cave has more than 3000 Buddha statues inside. Then visit Rice-wine village which your French & English speaking guide will explain to you and enjoy your lunch on board in front Pak Ou Caves.


Note: Pak Ou caves can get crowded on the weekends and national holidays. Do not forget to bring your mosquito spray and sunscreen.
