After breakfast, we start to visit WatSisaket,the only original temple inVientiane was built in the Siamese style of Buddhist architecture. Dates back to 1818, it's the sole survivor of a Thai invasion in 1828.WatPrakeo, former royal temple of the Lao monarchy and is home to the Emerald Buddha at the early time of Lane Xang Kingdom was enshrined. On the way to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa or "Great Stupa" is large golden stupa in Vientiane is believed to enshrine a breast bone of the Buddha. Stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, Vientiane's own Arc de Triumph.
In the afternoon, we take a short drive out of the city to visit the Buddha Park where hundreds of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures brought from India are displayed.Return to the city and enjoy the sunset on the Mekong River.

Continue south today towards to Pakse on flat road for 10 hours trip, the most straight road in Laos. Stop on the way for simple local lunch.

After breakfast, we leave Pakse and transfer to Champasak District; visit the mysterious ruins Khmer Temple of Wat Phou Temple. This 11th century temple is now one of most impressive Khmer temples in Laos. Classified as a World Heritage Site since 2002, continue to 4000 Islands and Khong Island; settle in your hotel with overlooking of the Mekong River.

Today is exploring the surrounding country side, visit Liphi Waterfall or "the Corridor of the Devil"and learn the history of how these waterfall help thwart efforts to open the Mekong River up to navigation between Cambodia and Laos. We return to the mainland drive further south to visit Khone Phapheng is considered the largest waterfall in Southeast Asia on the Mekong River. Take a long tail boat out to search for the Irrawaddy (freshwater) Dolphins that reside in this area of the Mekong.Then we drive back to Khong Island for your overnight stay.
This morning, check out and take a boat to meet your driver and transfer to Pakse Airport for your flight onward.
